Sagada, a wonderful haven located at the country’s highest mountain ranges. The town perfectly preserved it’s culture and closeness to nature. It is a fifth class municipality in the province of Mountain Province, Philippines, located at least 375 kilometres north of Manila. Sagada is the third highest municipality in the country, in terms of height above sea level.
Sagada is famous for its hanging coffins, a traditional way of burying people that is still utilized as to date.
Activities that mostly travelers/tourists are into include trekking, spelunking, bonfires, rappelling, visiting historical sites, nature hikes, orange picking during peak season and participating in tribal celebrations such as the grand annual bonfire every December and Etag Festival during first week of February.
