Mount Pulag is the highest mountain in Luzon and 3rd highest in the country. It is a popular spot for mountaineers and it’s peak season is around January to April. Besides being the highest mountain in Luzon, it is also recognized as the coldest place in the country as the lowest temperature was recorded there; for about -8 degree.
The main highlight of the mountain is the so called “Sea of Clouds” where visitors climb the summit before sunrise. A remarkable phenomenon begins as the clouds cover the summit as if you’re now in heaven and due to the fact that you’re actually higher than the clouds. Other highlights are the Mossy Forest, the endemic species of Pulag and the fact that Mount Pulag is a very well respected “Sacred Mountain” by the locals of the Cordilleras.
